The full privacy policy

The complete policy in sixteen numbered sections, from who we are to how this policy changes.

Who we are

This website belongs to Tony DiSilvestro, Keynote Speaker, Entrepreneur, Author, and Systems Strategist. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Tony DiSilvestro and the team that helps run his speaking, workshop, and consulting business. "You" means anyone who visits tonydisilvestro.com or sends us information through it.

Our business address is 2681 Production Road Suite 110, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. The best way to reach us about anything in this policy is email: tony@tonydtalks.com. This policy covers this website and the forms on it. It does not cover other websites, social media profiles, or podcast platforms, which have their own policies.

Information you give us

Most of what we know about a visitor comes from forms that visitor chooses to fill out. The site has a booking form for event inquiries and a general form on the contact page, and the business scaling assessment lets you send your results to Tony's team.

When you submit one of these forms, we receive what you typed into its fields. That usually means your name and email address, and it can also include your organization, your role, details about an event such as the date, location, and audience, and any message you write. If you send your assessment results, we receive the answers and results included in that submission. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as financial account numbers or health details, through a website form. We do not need it to answer an inquiry.

Information about other people

Event planners and business owners sometimes include details about other people in an inquiry, such as a colleague who should be copied on replies, a committee member who approves speakers, or the makeup of the audience. Only share another person's contact details if you have their permission to do so.

We use those details the same way we use yours: to respond to the inquiry and plan the engagement. We do not add people to a mailing list because someone else mentioned them in a form.

Information collected automatically

This website receives some technical information whenever a page loads. That can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you came from, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information comes from your browser and from the tools described in the service provider and cookie sections below.

We review it in combined totals to see which pages people read, find broken pages, and keep the site secure. We do not use it to identify you by name.

How we use information

We use the information you send to respond to you. For a booking inquiry, that means checking Tony's availability, asking follow-up questions about your event, and sending details about keynotes, workshops, or consulting. For a general question, it means replying to the question you asked.

We may also use your contact details to send information you have requested, keep a record of our conversation for follow-up, and meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. We use technical information to run, maintain, and improve the website, and to spot and block misuse such as spam form submissions.

Service providers

A small number of outside companies help us run this website and the business behind it. They receive only the information they need to do their job for us:

  • A form and customer relationship management (CRM) platform that hosts the booking and contact forms and stores the inquiries they collect.
  • A website hosting provider that stores the site files and serves pages to your browser.
  • Analytics tools that report overall patterns in how visitors use the site.
  • Vimeo, which plays Tony's videos when you choose to watch one.

These providers handle information under their own privacy policies. We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This site, the form platform, and our analytics tools may use cookies and similar technologies to remember basic settings, keep forms working, measure visits, and understand which pages are useful.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and many browsers let you turn on privacy features that limit tracking. Most of the site will still work without cookies, although a form or video may not load correctly if you block everything.

Embedded video

Videos on this site are hosted by Vimeo. The Vimeo player does not load when a page opens. It loads only after you click a play button, and at that point Vimeo receives information from your browser, such as your IP address and device details, under Vimeo's own privacy policy. We request the player with Vimeo's do-not-track setting turned on.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade, or give our list of inquiries or contacts to other businesses for their own marketing. The service providers named above work on our behalf and are not permitted by us to use your information for their own advertising.

How we protect information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. Our website and form providers use their own security measures to protect the systems that store it.

Even so, no website, form, or email system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. If you have reason to believe your information has been exposed, email us right away.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry and contact information for as long as it is useful for the reason you sent it, such as planning an event or continuing a business conversation, and for as long as we need it for legal, tax, or accounting records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Where information is stored

Tony DiSilvestro is based in the United States, and this website is run for audiences across the country. Information you send through the site may be stored and processed in the United States by us or our service providers. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be handled under United States law, which may differ from the law where you live.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop sending you emails, and you can reply to any email from us to say so.

To make a request, email tony@tonydtalks.com with the name and email address you used on the site. We may ask a question to confirm the request is yours before we act on it. Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights, and we will respond to requests as the law requires.

Children under 13

This website is written for event organizers, business owners, and professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to websites we do not control, such as the page where Tony's book is sold or the podcasts and shows where he has appeared. Once you leave tonydisilvestro.com, the other site's privacy policy applies, and we are not responsible for how it handles your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or our practices change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the date below. Your continued use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies.
